Why didn't you go with him?

When you don't realize a person is dead and you suffer a severe case of foot-in-mouth disease.

Earl: "I'm such an idiot. I saw our neighbor Mrs. Lundgren at the store today, so I asked her how her husband was doing. I didn't know he was dead. She said 'he's gone' and I thought he was on a trip. So I asked, 'Why didn't you go with him?'"

Opal (horrified): EARL!!!

Call him Miss Ross

Derogatory term used for someone in the public eye (typically an athlete or actor) who has a reputation of being a prima donna or self-important.

Based on Diana Ross insisting people ‘call (her) Miss Ross

Randy Moss is a total diva. Call him Miss Ross.’

‘Eh, call him Miss Ross. Every fantasy league he’s been in (name of owner) has managed to irritate all the other owners’

Him-a-laya

Used to describe men who have had a very colorful and chequered sexual past but have already reached their sexual peak.

It's acknowledges their previous sexual character whilst simultaneously implying that it's over.

Jim: I am good friends with Greg but I am worried about leaving him alone with my girlfriend, he's a playa.

Chris: Don't worry, Greg used to be a playa, now he's him-a-laya.

solved him

"Solved him" To solve a problem by force. In a more literal context it means to solve a problem imposed on you by someone else, even if it is against the other persons wishes.

Customer kept complaining about his fries being too thick, so I solved him and sliced those fries down into potato chips.

"Money had a problem so I solved him."
