Faxon Logic

A common rhetorical strategy whereby the speaker presents a relatively simple "factual" and/or "reasonable" talking point in order to:

a). Justify an inequity.

b). Justify an atrocity.

c). Generally engage in some form of sophistry.

Benjamin quickly employed some Faxon Logic to defeat his opponent in the marketplace of ideas.

Conservative logic

The type of mental gymnastics required to justify conservative viewpoints. Notable for being both radical and illogical, conservative logic has the rare quality of being both an oxymoron and unintentionally ironic.

"Conservative logic makes the point that modern policing proves evolution can't be true; otherwise, African Americans would be bulletproof by now."

Presland logic

A way of thinking that defies common sense and logic. Frankly, it’s farcical and yet it still manages to achieve the required result!

Bumper Sticker Logic

Logic that, if heard or read, will make sense briefly. But will not hold up under any amount of scrutiny. Bumper sticker logic will pass the smell test, but fails to hold up under deeper inspection.

“Believe all women” that is a great statement, but am I supposed to believe Ghislaine Maxwell, nah man, that is just bumper sticker logic

Logicate

To make sense of something.

It’s hard to logicate my feeling, when I don’t understand what I’m feeling.

Galenic Logic

Arguing a point to someone who is disagreeing with you yet not holding an opinion one way or the other and usually lacking the intelligence to argue in the first place.
