quick "romance" like if a guy or girl gave you "the look" or you had a quick make out session with someone only once or a short lived romance or "hookup". someone flirting with you, hugs, pretty much anything that gave you the butterflies in stomach effect that only happen once or few times.
yeah me and greg had a 1 minute romance last night at the party. He just kept starring at me and his hand accidently brushed against mine when we both reached out for the doorknob.

an imaginary amount of time refering to how fast people from new york city (not new york state) do things. the time differences of new york city and the rest of the world is the reason an average yorkie can't survive outside their city for more than 4 days.
yorkie: i went to freakin' colorado and it took this jackass 20 minutes to charge the sweater i bought! you know i'm used to things being done in a new york minute, i can't stand that crap!
