Describes the state of constantly being in "awkward turtle" mode; suspecting oneself of being the cause of many awkward moments many times per day.
Girl: It's the first time I kissed a boy, but our braces got stuck together for two hours. Then his dad - who's a Baptist pastor - found us together in his room with our lips locked. We finally got unstuck because his dad ripped us apart. Then in walking home, a escaped monkey pantsed me, and a tourist saw the latter part and looked at me like I was crazy. Then I tripped on a rock and fell into the arms of this really hot guy (with my pants still down).

It is using the ASL word for sea turtle... which is reperasented by placing one hand on top of the other, palms down, and extending the thumbs outward rotating. The end result should look like a turtle swimming. Use this gesture when a conversation or situation becomes awkward. Awkward Woolly Mammoth
In the line of the Awkward Turtle family... but this is to be used for the MOST SUPREME of awkward moments. Do the awkward woolly mammoth by outstretching your arms and curving them downward, and then waddling forward. Add an awkward trunk motion if the situation calls for it.
Person 1: "Dude. I knocked on my ex-boyfriend's door and his girlfriend opened the door without her shirt on as he buttoned up his pants" *does the awkward woolly mammoth move*
Person 2: Yea that is so awkward you gotta call upon an extinct animal.
such a moment calls for the most extreme of the awkward motions- the awkward woolly mammoth.
