an over-thought style with more haters then barrack obama. "emo" today contains people who cut themselves (cutters), people who are sad, people with choppy hair, and people who dress a certain way.

emo is basically a group of people who show their EMOtions in public. Despite popular beleif, they usually have a reason:
abuse
rape
heartbreak
and feeling trapped are common in my own friends.
ANOTHER type of emo is the music, although it doesn't sound good to most people, they are lyrics emos can relate to. because if you are very sad at the time,
"i HATE everything about you! WHY do i LOVE you?" (3 days grace)
sounds a hell of a lot better than
"there's a she-wolf in the closet" (shakira)
or even
"baby are you down, down, down, down down?" (jay sean)
its basically a point of view where most try to cheer themselves up, emos will try to forget when they were happy so when they're sad it doesn't seem so bad.
"i went emo last night look at my scars!"
"what the fuck, and people say IM a faggot."
"what? you should know- you're emo too!"
"fuck off you're the reason people hate me poser!"

The hottest thing in the world to look at..but dont make eye contact.. They look great from a distance..if youre as sick and twised as dethkitn.. ;)
Just because emo looks dark and destructive and sexy and morbid doesnt mean its fun.

a softer, less hard-core version of goth and punk. an emo kid typically wears mainly black with neon brights and styles their hair in sweeping side bangs across their face.

A person who cuts himself (usaully his wrists) who wears dark clothes and has gay-ass priecings.

a term to describe weird kids who are more normal than they think but want to pretend they are different from the norm.
however, the display of being emo is very pop culture in dress and music and goes against what most emo's think.
They think they are EMOtionally disturbed!
i want to be an emo to seperate myself from others (but do not realize it is a trend)

A. The first name of a comedian.
B. Trendy way to say emotional.
C. An unfortunate name for genre of music that is derived from hardcore punk, but is more experimental and usually more complex. It was called emo because it incorporated more emotions than simple punk anger.
D. An entirely different genre of music based in turn of the century pop punk. Though it's not bad, per se, it tends to be derivative and a little boring. Fans of (C) emo hate (D) emo with a passion.

D. Alternative Press magazine: "This new emo band is the shit!!!!" (said band sounds just like the last band that the magazine worshipped for a week}
