Pop Rap

Garbage rap music. It is created only for the purposes of making money and pleasing the masses. Pop rap has absolutely no artistic or creative merit whatsoever.

Crazy Rap

A popular song by Afroman, but it's often mistakenly called "Colt 45" because most people that hear it are too fucking stupid to realize that just because he says "Colt 45" in the chorus that it doesn't mean that's the name of the song. They also seem to be incapable of looking at the back of the CD case to check the name of the song, which is generally a simple and effortless task.

Retard: Damn, homie. Colt 45 is a mothafuckin' TIGHT song!
Knowledgeable Person: Colt 45? Sorry, son, never heard of it. I've heard of Crazy Rap, though, if that's what you're trying to say....
Retard: Eh?
Knowledgeable Person: Retard....

ringtone rap

Rap music made not to sell albums, but to sell ringtones. Can be spotted by the generally stupid-as-shit nature of the song, which has a five-second repeating beat and about three lines of 'song' which is also endlessly repeated. Totally loved by fucktards that have no taste in music.

"Yo, dawg! You dig that new Soulja Boy track?"
"Fuck no, I don't listen to ringtone rap!"

rap battle

having a rapping contest against someone else in front of an audience, where most of the lyrics are insults directed at the other rapper which have to rhyme at the same time.

1 rapper goes first, then after he's done its the other persons turn and then someone decides whos was better, or after the second rapper has finished the first one can go again if he has more to say.
if one of the rappers suck at rapping they can get boo'd off stage by the audience. (they usually let some of the audience come up and take the mic for a few minutes at the end)
