When a live music venue takes a percentage of what a band or group earns from selling merchandise such as t-shirts and CDs at a gig. AKA stealing
Our band doesn't make as much money as we used to because a lot of venues are forcing us to take a merch cut.
Traffic cuts is when a motorist, either stuck behind a wreck or is unable to merge before their lane ends, who then either speeds up and cuts you off; or sits with their front end in your lane, turn signal on, forcing other drivers to either let the asshole "take cuts" or drive around them.
"Did you just see that asshat take traffic cuts in front of that school bus? Hopefully the diver got his license plate and is dialing 911 right now."
a route chosen, often in winter, that leads through heated buildings to escape intense cold, snow and other winter weather. Similar to a short-cut but does not usually reduce travel time, in fact, if often increases the length of the trip.
Person 1: It is so cold out and we still have half of campus to cross.
Person 2: Don't worry man, let's hang a left and take the warm cut through the library.

Waiting there for Santa I thought I would cut the cheese on his lap
To cut the rug means to dance aggressively. Almost as if one was mad at the very beat they are dancing to.
this must be their jam; they are really cutting rug something vicious over there.
A Pink Floyd album from 1983. The last album to feature bassist/vocalist Roger Waters before he left the band in 1985. Also the band’s first album not to feature keyboardist Richard Wright, since he was fired by Roger when they were touring The Wall in 1980 and ‘81. The band was falling apart when they were making this album and Roger Waters and Dave Gilmour hated eachother and hardly spoke to eachother.
“Man, I hate Roger Waters but I love The Final Cut. Not Now John goes hard.”
like stop lying or stop the act
person 1 : i didn’t spill that on the floor
person 2: cut the bullshit
