New Zanesbridge

The geographical area encompassing Muskingum College, New Concord, Cambridge, and Zanesville, Ohio.

Muskingum College in Ohio is located in the small town of New Concord. Since there is nothing much in this small town, the residents and students often go to the nearby town of Cambridge. Sadly, this town is of little consequence to the rest of the state. The nearby town with name recognition is Zanesville. Therefore, to nebulously describe this geographic area there needs to be a word of its own. New Zanesbridge.

Muskingum Student A: I would really love to go shopping....

Muskingum Student B: At the mall? Or in downtown Cambridge?

MSA: We might have to drive to the other end of New Zanesbridge to find what I am looking for.

new zealand

A country made up of multiple island, mainly 2 large ones, and, yes, many too politically correct whingers! New Zealand is NOT a democracy, by the way, and it has too many MPs, who are paid too much of taxpayers money so they can go skiing in Europe every winter and sunbathe in Tahiti every summer. It also has the highest rate of youth suicide and child abuse. The prime minister is commonly thought of as a female, but there are serious doubts about that...

I'm Helen Clark, not so sure what sex I am, but I know I've got balls!

Brand New

A band originating from Merrick, New York (Long Island), forming around the early 2000s. They are often refered to as Br& New. Brand New has released three offical CDs. In chronological order: Your Favorite Weapon (2002), Deja Entendu (2003), The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me (2006).

Their only single from Your Favorite Weapon was "Jude Law and a Semester Abroad," which if you pick up a copy (I don't know how long the album's done this) and put it in your hard drive, you can watch the "Jude Law" video.
Deja Entendu (French for 'already heard') however, released three singles: "The Quiet Things that No One Ever Knows", "Sic Transit Gloria... Glory Fades" and "I Will Play My Game Beneath the Spin Light"
The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me has released two singles (so far. And I hope there are more to come!), "Sowing Season (Yeah)" and "Jesus"

Brand New is made up of: Jesse Lacey (vox/lyricist/guitar), Vincent Accardi (guitar/backup vox/piano), Brian Lane (drums), Derrick Sherman (guitar/piano).

Personally, I find Br& New to be one of the most talented bands you will ever come across and I honestly adore the living shit out of them. :)
I recommend you to go pick up all three albums and listen to them in chronological order, for between each album, Brand New grows an insane ammount and they sound like a brand new band (no pun intended) on every album.
With Brand New, you can't go wrong.

New Impressionism

New Impressionists are a generation of musicians reacting to their impressions of what rock music was when it was still the most viable genre (1950s-90s in all of it's forms from shoegaze to noise to rockabilly). Some might incorrectly call this reaction post-rock, but that would imply somehow being past or being "over" rock music. Though New Impressionism is different from traditional rock music, it is not about being past or "over" anything. Far from it, the unifying theme is a musical reflection on what New Impressionists perceive the reasons and influences of rock music to be, whether it be concious or sub-concious. Some may even go so far as to live their lives as rock musicians were supposed to have, and to emulate the song structures and instrumental tambres they dabbled in. However, New Impressionist music can actually be quite different or strange, as New Impressionism is about a reaction, not about directly copying - it is an impression of what rock music was, not a snapshot of its exact reality, though some artists do get literal in their reactions and interpretations.

The Black Lips, showcasing New Impressionism, emulate the recording style and song structure of garage rock and the antics of punk heroes of the past.

New Zealand

Am I the only one here who realizes that "New Zealand" is a pristine word, not adapted or mutilated at ALL? Sheeyut, it's a concrete geographical area.

Nu Zizzle is an example of what "New Zealand" would like, were it actually slang.

New Orleans

The city where tourists are stupid enough to go into Magnolia and wonder why the city was named murder capital.

N.O. is well on its way to being murder capital.

New Roc

Cracker-slang for New Rochelle, a suburb of New York, intended to attract minorities to the movie theater.

"Yo, fellas, let's go to NEW ROC and hit up the Roc 'N' Bowl!"
