Gooba X

A symbolic mark made by a Gooba on someone's shoulder.
It symbolises 'X marks the spot'. In this case, a Gooba can get a run up and open hand slap that persons shoulder anytime on the day the mark is made.

One of the worst things to happen on a cold day is to get a Gooba X on my shoulder.

OS X

Apple's Unix distribution. Properly utilizes a multicore CPU for the best multiprocessing experience, properly manages RAM and efficiently runs the machine, for as low as 4 hours to as much as 10 hours of continuous use on a MacBook, compared to 3 hours maximum on a Windows PC. Very difficult to obtain a virus, string, robust, reliable, and, if properly taken care of, can last well over a decade. It's worth it's price!

Guy: "Hey, can I try out OS X? I'm tired of Windows!

awkward "X"

Awkward "X" refers to any word or phrase created as an alternative to the "awkward turtle." This is often done to try to enhance the funny of the original idea, or to rank the new word in reference to awkward turtle, but tends to end up being a painfully obvious "third joke."

"Seriously, awkward turtle was pretty damn funny when the person first came up with it, but now people are trying to keep the funny on life support but end up third joking the shit out of it...the advent of the awkward "X"."

Awkward dog, awkward monkey, awkward military junta, awkward pork chop, etc etc etc.

X-Box

A decent gaming system that has its ups and downs.

The X-Box is large, bulky, and has a huge controller, but that's beside the point. There are a few good games on it, such as Halo or Counter-strike. These games are out for the PC but need a $2000 machine to run, the X-Box costs only $100-300.

The reason most people hate it is because

A. it's made by Microsoft
B. it's huge
C. the games they played must have sucked

Just because its made by Microsoft doesn't automatically mean it sucks. Halo was made by Microsoft, and look how it's doing, hmm?

The controller is an exact duplicate of the PS2 controller, just substitute the Black and White buttons for L2 and R2. Hell you could probably play the X-Box with a PS2 controller if it had the right plug.

So, in closing, I think that the X-Box is probably the only good thing made by Microsoft.

My game would have to be Doom 3.

Why an X

When it is more effective to use a general letter x rather than a concrete numeral to represent a number, whose value constantly variesβ€”an economic way to convey the idea of a variable in an equation or a mathematical sentence.

Why an X, and not an A, B, or C is because the letters x, y, and z have traditionally been used to stand for unknowns, while the letters a, b, and c for constants.
