keep your pecker up

This phrase means "Cheer up" or "Don't worry, stay happy!" but I understand that it can cause howls of laughter in certain circles, I can't think why!

The pecker in question is probably not a penis, I think it may come from Woody Woodpecker? Or possibly pecker meaning your beak so equating to looking up?

Aarron blushed when his ancient relative exhorted him to "Keep his pecker up!". He didn't realise that she only wanted him to smile.

Gentle UD editor,as you edit those endless emos and chavs, keep your pecker up!

Keep your lettuce tight

Be cool, collected, donโ€™t panic, donโ€™t worry be happy, life is good, things will get better (for example the up and down of dating, work politics, financing issues, personal or group dilemmas, etc.)

Originating from pop singer/songwriter JJMAXโ€™s song โ€œKeep Your Lettuce Tightโ€ released in 2018. JJMAXโ€™s lyrics specifically describe the craziness of dating, but the phrase is used for many situations.

Tom: Hey Noah, whatโ€™s wrong?
Noah: My boss is mean and my dog is sick.
Tom: Keep your lettuce tight dude, everything will be okay!

Keep What You Kill

The Underverse is their promised land, believing that unless a person dies "in due time" that they will not go to the Underverse. They also believe heavily in a philosophy that says "you keep what you kill", believing that ending another's life entitles you to their property and position.

The Lord Marshal:
In our faith, you keep what you kill.

Keep Busy Stay Humble

A phrase coined by a famous philosopher from the PA area. Keeping busy is part one requiring that you stay busy but not too busy as you can never be more busy than humble. Part two requires you stay the exact amount humble as you are busy.

Henry: Ben handjob really keeps himself busy by beating off on the neighbors patio furniture?

Vince: Man I warned him, he needs to keep busy stay humble.
