Gone Gold

A game has "Gone Gold" when the final master copy has been produced at the developer and sent off for replication, packaging and shipment. The game is not yet released, but it will typically be around 2-3 weeks (sometimes less) before it begins appearing on store shelves and online pre-orders arriving at doorsteps. The term itself comes from the old practice of recordable CDs being manufactured with gold film. Hence the gold colored CD actually being the source, with no reference to copies sold as in the recording industry.

"The newest release in that game series is in 2 weeks, it has just Gone Gold!"

gone hollywood

When a person who has "made it" decides its necessary to reject his/her past because he/she is deemed "too good" for it now.

Usually characterized by trading in old friends for new friends, even though your old friends were always there for you before you made it big, distancing yourself from your roots, and turning into a conceited douchebag.

Ever since my best friend made it to the NFL he has gone hollywood, he changed his phone number and I haven't talked to him in nearly 6 months.

Thot Be Gone

A word for the highly intelligent. If there is a wild thot that stands in their path they may use this phrase to scare this wild beast away.

Person 1 : Oh no, theres a thot in our way!
Person 2: its ok. "Thot Be Gone!"
*Thot runs away in fear*
