When two people get a text message simultaneously. The person who fails to say "Jinx text" first becomes Jinxed. This person can no longer speak until the Jinxer or one of the witnesses to the jinx says the name of the jinxed person.
(two text messages come in at the same time)
Steve: Jinx text!
Witnesses: OHHHHHH
After eating something questionable, whether it is excessively spicy or expired, and expecting devastating gastrointestinal repercussions from doing so. After telling someone you are surprised you survived unscathed, soon after the food wreaks havoc on your sphincter.
John: "I had some atomic sauce monday and nothing bad has happened yet."
one hour later
John: "I retract my statement about the atomic sauce btw"
Jeff: "haha you got sphincter jinxed, I am adding that to urban dictionary"
A sigh jinx is when two or more people sigh at the same time, and one person yells Sigh jinx! Thus causing the other sighing members to be rendered silent until their name is said three times in a row.
Sean and Jessica sighed at the same time. Jessica yelled Sigh Jinx! At the top of her lungs rendering Sean silent until she said his name three times.

When you, or somebody else, thinks of something really bad happening to you, and no matter how hard you try, you can't get it out of your head; you think of a totally bogus 100% impossible situation to counteract, or hex it.
1. Johnny was stepping into the shower, then thought of slipping and breaking his neck, quickly, he pictured a clown wearing a speedo kicking him in the face, while he was doing a barrel roll glued to the ceiling; somehow. He then realized "hex the jinx" saved his life.
2. When your hung-over friend crosses the street, you picture an 18-wheeler running him down, so you picture Bob Marley coming out of the sky and picking your friend up and hurling him 50 miles into the air, as you shoot yourself in the head with a desert eagle that shoots baked beans shaped like buggs bunny. And your friend safely crosses the street once you come back to reality.
