meep.

A phrase I stole from someone I know. It's a word used mostly at random times to fill silence.

The period at the end of the word is what makes the word what it is, and is VERY important.

Yesh.

Random internet expression-- such as w00t. Also phrased as m33p. Think: What sound would a sheep make if it didn't say "Baah!"?

"Meep!" "Meep?" "Meep!"
"m33p."

meep

In stories he wrote in the 1920s and 1930s, H. P. Lovecraft used the word meep to represent the vocalizations made by ghouls. Lovecraftian ghouls were subterranean humans that had degenerated into dog-like cannibalistic creatures.

A man he had known in Boston ... had actually made friends with the ghouls and had taught him to understand the simpler part of their disgusting meeping and glibbering." ~ in "The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath"

Meep

The art of 'meep'ing occurs when a person uses the term in the form of onomatopoeia. The word itself is just a sound that is used to avoid awkward silences or to brighten up the mood of an individual.

Matt: meep! 'Matt was 'meep'ing on the long car journey home to avoid any awkward silences.

Matt: meep! 'Matt was 'meep'ing as he enjoys the art of 'meep'ing and does it to pass time.
