Town near the middle of South Carolina known for its Iris Festival and its proximity to Shaw Air Force Base.
Geographically, it is two hours from the mountains and two hours from the beach.
It is a mid-sized town which is about equally proportioned between whites and blacks. Its economy is steady but it has a slightly high unemployment rate as of 2005.
I'm going to Sumter, SC to see the Iris Festival.

A small town that was based on mill work in the 1900's and so forth . But on jan 6 a train wreak that cost the lives of a 9 people and cause this small little town to change forever . For a town that use to thrive is now 2017 almost like a ghost town trying to valid it's way back up with the help of a new business called reclaim

We can’t fight without our guns because we a bunch of pussys and can’t fight. Claim we drug dealers who make bank but can’t even afford to get a car. We drug dealers but can’t deliver or never answer the phone. A place where crackheads walk around and beg for money. A place where people walk around with a “gang” of people fucking shit up cause it’s “cool”. We don’t got jobs so we just steal peoples cars and break in cars for money. Where girls dress half naked and fuck the whole squad but claim there “not a hoe”. WELCOME TO THE TOWN OF ROCKHILL.

The "bedroom" town of Charleston, SC made up mostly of homes, homes and more homes, schools, restaurants, banks and stores. Everything a bedroom town could want. Got its name because rich folk would move "up" to Summerville to get away from the water when malaria was a widespread disease. The town has had the same mayor for 70 years-OMG! He's FINALLY leaving office and maybe the town can move forward. It's a very beautiful place and carries the nickname of "FlowerTown in The Pines." The Flowertown Festival is a huge celebration each year in April and is voted one of the best festivals in the country. If you want a great place to raise children, Summerville is it!

Visiting Florence...
I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun, because there's tons you can do in this town.
This place is special. So special, in fact, that few people on the globe have ever heard of it.
And few people actually live here. We have so much traffic because people are constantly passing though to somewhere else; We are the halfway point between NYC and Miami. Wonderful, right?!
When people do come here, it's because we are known for having an amazing Wal-Mart.
We have some great restaurants. We just got a new Golden Corral, and a new Burger King. Now that's what we really needed. Thank the lord for these places, because now we've got variety! Who doesn't love all kinds of fried food?
You'll love the weather. It's hot and humid, so you don't have to buy a jacket. You could go out with nothing on, and you still wouldn't need one. Plus, it rains and storms seven days a week! Who doesn't love a good storm?
And thank goodness we have warm weather, because on a good day, you can fry an egg on the sidewalk.
No one wants to go to a mall thats huge and has lots of stores, so you'll love our mall. There's hardly anything there!
It'll good we're all on the same page. We all have the same point of view on everything, so you don't have to worry about an argument. Here everyone is the same, so there's little conflict. What could be better than that? :).
