When you let out a long, silent fart in a crowded elevator. You wait until the elevator door closes and then say, "Hey, does anyone smell popcorn?" You smile as you hear everyone in the elevator inhale through their nostrils in unison.

Goofy: "Hey, Mick-- Garsh, what's so funny?"
Mickey: "Huh, huh! I was riding in an elevator full of people and served up some hot, Elevator Popcorn!"

When someone looks another person up and down, giving their eyes the resemblance of elevators.

"I was standing there in this tight skirt, and this dude was totally giving me the elevator eyes."

Elevator Fate

The chance encounters in elevators that result from a series of seemingly random occurrances, such as a nice citizen holding the door for you, dropping your keys, or stopping to tie your shoe. Often these encounters are with either the one person you don't want to be in an elevator with or the one person you do want to be in the elevator with. It is the fate of elevator that brings you together.

Elevator Snob

A person who refuses to hold an elevator door open for other parties to enter so they can arrive on their own floor without interruption.

When you "accidentally" miss the open door button and smile to yourself knowing it's a non stop ride to your own floor. The number of elevator snobs in a given skyscraper is directly proportional to the number of floors for said building.

space elevator

This is a type of turd. It is defined as a poo that touches the surface of the toilet water whilst still connected to the person pooing. This is analogous to the theoretical space elevator, which is a counterbalance in geostationary orbit that is anchored to a point on the Earth's surface by a long cable.
