congressional dyslexia

A disorder of the House of Representatives and Senate that causes right wing Teabaggers to furlough non essential government workers indefinitely, while also passing a bill to pay them their full salaries during the shutdown that the most conservative Republicans caused trying to nullify the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) and the 2012 elections

Senator Ted Cruz & House Republicans displayed Congressional Dyslexia last Saturday agreeing to pay govt workers their full pay for the days they're being involuntarily furloughed. This costs taxpayers approximately $21 billion per week more than if the asinine shutdown had never happened. When asked how much longer these govt workers would be furloughed, House Speaker John Boehner said "Uh, I dunno."

Time Zone Dyslexia

A condition where the sufferer routinely adds or subtracts wrong when planning things in more than one time zone.

Side effects include missed appointments, multiple calendar resends, manic tap-dancing through that presentation you thought was 2 hours from now. Adrenaline, cringing, lame apologies.

Coping mechanisms: OCD-like checking of the hour; counting out from East to West coast on your fingers. Pinky: Eastern is 1 pm; Ring finger is Central - so, noon; Pacific is the pointer, that'd be 10 a.m. - right? Right?

You told NYC to dial in at 10 but Chicago at 11; so is the call for 10 or 12EST?
D'oh! 10EST. Sorry - Time Zone Dyslexia.

Derple Dyslexia

Comes in one of two forms:

1) Syndrome: A one time screw-up that is so foreseeable, that you have no idea how you made the mistake.

2) Disease: A lifetime of ridiculously terrible screw-ups that have complete an utter alternatives, yet someone makes that mistake and can't see where they went wrong. Cases can range from bad to severe based on the symptoms.

1) "Dude, I can't believe I walked into that lamp post. I must have Derple Dyslexia Syndrome.

2) "Man, that driver has ran 3 red lights in a row and just pulled out in front of an 18-wheeler. He must have Derple Dyslexia Disease.
