It means simply not doing shit you’re not paid to do at work, or refusing to do the job of two people when you’re only paid for one.
Act your wage at work. Don’t exhaust yourself over shit you’re not paid for. Don’t take unpaid overtime. Get comfortable telling your boss no, and unionize, unionize, unionize!

someone who works very hard for very little and doesn't get much satisfaction from their job. They can't leave as they have a family to support or think that they won't be able to find a better job.
"I hate this job and I'm sick of being a minimum wage slave. Oh well, I'm going to win the lottery soon anyway."

A person that works for a minimum wage job, or close to it, usually in Wal-Mart, Best Buy, McDonald's, Applebee's, Quiznos or a bank that takes their job too seriously and acts like they own the business. If the place was being robbed, they would fight the robber. They scrutinize every coupon coming in like they work for the FBI. They spend inordinate amounts of their own time and money taking care of the place, often coming in on their own time "to see how things are going." Many have the impression their efforts will eventually be rewarded with a better job with a living wage. That is true sometimes, but when it isn't, they have lots of trouble figuring that out. Most of their fellow employees hate them.
A great example of a minimum wage hero is Jennifer Aniston's co-worker, Brian, from Office Space, and his "flair."
Michelle is a minimum wage hero because she virtually works 24/7 at Best Buy, likes to hang out at work on her days off, and even though her boss doesn't pull his weight, she does everything for him for $8 an hour. She thinks she will become a district manager someday, but she's been there for 5 years and hasn't even been considered to run a store!

'Minimum wage rage' refers to the amount of hostility perpetrated by lowly paid, disgruntled employees, seeking to redress the balance at work. They may use various means, overt or covert, to accomplish their goal.
Tesco employee #1: 'God I hate this crappy job! I work my ass off and for what? The national ruddy minimum wage, that's what!'
Tesco employee #2: 'Look, I know you feel shit. Employees around the country are now carrying out minimum wage rage. Why don't you punch the regional manager's face in? You'll feel much better!'
Tesco employee #1: 'naw...I'll just nick a load of razors out the stock room, and stick 'em on eBay.'

No I like that part of it but I'm trying to elucidate a point.
