The new favorite snarl world of fascists for anything that goes against them. Once meant aware. Can include things such as minority rights (be it based on race, gender, sexual orientation, etc.), renewable energy, funding for education, & healthcare to name a few.

Supporting (insert policy the GOP hates) makes me woke? Then call me a chronic insomniac.

The intentional neglect or appropriation of historical facts, scientific evidence, established art, and practical semantics in an attempt to appeal to mainstream ideological values from the current decade. Often motivated by financial incentive.

Disney changed Mickey Mouse's gender. Disney knew this woke move would seal brand loyalty from the targeted demographic.

In an attempt to be more woke, the movie set in mediaeval Europe featured black American actors. The producers knew this would attract more viewers.

The 18th century statue was decorated with an LGBTQ flag. It looked very woke.
