Wörtlich "Straßenglaubwürdigkeit", meint, dass jemand mit einer hohen "street credibility" (abgekürzt "street cred") nicht in einer wohlbehaltenen geschützten reichen Umgebung aufgewachsen ist, sondern "von der Straße kommt", also aus der Unterschicht, Arbeiterklasse in ärmeren Gebieten mit erhöhter Kriminalität, dabei auch selbst oftmals kleinkriminell. Dagegen eine niedrige oder keine "street cred" gilt für Kinder reicherer Eltern des Bürgertums, gute Schulbildung, z.T. Privatschulen.

Eminem hat eine Menge street credibility.

Street teams are devices used by bands to get kids who enjoy their music to promote them at gigs and give out random flyers and stickers and stuff.

Basically this entails you signing a contract stating that you become their bitch, and one becomes the band's pack mule for all their dirty work.

Anybody who gets roped into a band's street team is gullible/unemployed.

The biggest party street in the US. (home to mardi gras). A perfect place for people to get smashed and see boobs.

It's also home to many homosexuals around labor day.

You also see a lot of girls gone wild cameras.

It also is never pronounced right. Its said bore-boghn not bur-ban street. Its named after the royal family of France that ruled for over 300 years and without which we would still be paying our taxes to England.

An older term by urban slang standard. A person that sleeps in drain pipes or sewers during the day then comes out to the street or dive bars at night to ingest drugs and cheap alcohol.

Cops had to go and chase the street lizards off the park benches.

Slang. A person performing in public for gratuities, esp. in a flamboyant or silly manner. Street Performing Busking
