It's a group of people who are just plain awesome.
They can be brought together by many a-ways, but the best Awesome Foursome are brought together by a socially unacceptable (but still pretty damn cool) past-time, such as Explorers in Britain.
This can feature other people.

A like minded group of people continusly battling against the forces of evil. Team Awesome may not be made up of over achievers, or particulary pretty to look at, however they are admired the world around for their unwavering Awesomness.

Basically the sweetest blog ever. It's on Blogspot and it decides the most important question: Who is better? Ninjas or pirates? Also, this blog hates on the crappiest people ever: hippies and rednecks.
