Soul Patch

Verb; An intentionally ambiguous term implying an unknown or unforeseen threat, promise, or praise; spoken in a spirit of complete and purposeful ambivalence which will leave the implied act completely to the imagination.

1.) As a threat: "Do that again, dude, and I swear I will soul patch your ass."
2.) As a vague, neutral comment or invitation: "Want to soul patch later?"
3.) As a prop: "dude, that was soul patch!"

Note: this term is best used with completely mixed emotional overtones, all the better to confuse the intended audience. For Instance, use example 2 in the same tone you would say example 1. Better: example 1 in the tone of example 3. Hilarity ensues, guaranteed.

Dark Night Of The Soul

The dark night of the soul is a spiritual depression, that ranges from feelings of extreme GOD-like bliss one day to all of a sudden extreme sadness, manic states and confusion the next day.

Dark night of a soul is best described as an existential crisis and is typically happens sometime after a spiritual awakening. It’s painful and confusing if you resist it but it is possible to overcome somewhat quickly if you fully surrender into it.

Every human will experience it in at least one of their lifetimes if they want to reach a Nirvana state and become enlightened.

Moms friend: What happen to your daughter? She’s been acting kind of β€œoff β€œ lately. Is she alright?

Mom: I’m honestly not sure, the doctor said everything is perfect on the test scans and she is 100% healthy. I know she’s been praying and meditating a lot lately to relieve pain

Moms friend: I think she is going through a Dark Night Of The Soul. I had went through the same thing when I was studying the map of consciousness and doing meditations 10 years ago.

Soul searching

A ridiculous and overly-dramatic phrase that dumbasses and losers use to describe reevaluating their sad, worthless lives. Using this pretentious and pathetic phrase in public will make you look more pitiful than if you were a meth addict at the end of your rope.

John: I just can't get over Tasha dumping me. I think I need to do some soul searching.
Kenny: What is this, Dawson's Creek? Quit talking like you're on a soap opera and get over it.

Corporate Soul Vibe

An individual you encounter in a corporate environment that still may actually may have a soul.

I bumped into the new guy Phil at work today and after a five-minute chat I detected a bit of a Corporate Soul Vibe from him. Just give it a couple weeks because this company will pollute any remaining soul that beautiful angel has.

Dark Souls 2

Long story short: Death Simulator 2014.

Dark Souls 2 is the sequel to From Software's 2011 smash hit "Dark Souls." In Dark Souls 2, the player takes the role as an undead who bears the curse of Hollowing each time he or she dies. During the player's endeavours within the open world of Drangelic, the world within the game, he or she will encounter dangerous enemies, traps, and most certainly bosses. These bosses can be simple, or they can be hair-tearing-out rage inducing, much like "Dark Souls."

NOTE: Life may occur in Dark Souls 2. If you stay alive for more than one hour, you may be hacking.

Person 1: I heard you purchased Dark Souls 2. How is it?

Person 2: Who are you? Who am I? Where are we? What is life?

soul-deep pain

Usually the result of a traumatic, painful event, this is the type of pain that hits your deepest insecurities.

On the outside you may seem fine, smiling and acting normal, but inside you're grieving and hurting.
Soul-deep pain may not be reflected on the outside, but can typically be seen in the person's eyes.

They tend to look blank and hollow, despite their seemingly genuine smile.

- "Jane must be really torn up about her father's death."
- "What? How can you tell? She's always smiling!"
- "Look at her eyes. That's soul-deep pain."
