a poser can be someone who tries to fit in faking an interest in something, usually a specific fandom or trend.
poser: Man, JoJo's Bizzarre Adventures is a great and fun anime, don't you think so?
guy: Oh bro, totally! Did you watch Battle Tendency yet?
poser: Pfft, yeah, I watched it all last night
guy: Then let's party, dude! I brought tequila~
poser: *is confused* You know I don't drink, right-?
guy: ...You're a poser, aren't you.

-usually in order to fit in somewhere that you're not wanted
-mostly found in groups such as emo, goth, hipster, or scene
-pretending to like things such as music or clothes, but knowing nothing about either.
There were many posers at the concert who didn't even know the bands that were playing or the words to their songs. They looked completely out of place.
1. Someone who tries to be something their not (triesto be popular)
2. Ditches real friends for ones that are more popular, than proceed to make fun of old friends
3. Someone who is often used see: tool
Dylan became a poser when he ditched his friends to try to be cool and made fun of them. He also makes fun of his girlfriend behind her back.
This guy named ChEFF Tron. He's a huge fake ass poser. This guy thinks he's clever and smart but has no genuine characteristics of his own. He tries to act like a high and mighty holy roller but that's as phony as his personality. He won't shut up about how hot his 150 year old wrinkled ass mummy of a wife is either. This idiot thinks because everyone smiles to his face that they're not talkin shit about how stupid he is behind his back. He has no real friends just people that tolerate him.
Ah shit, here comes Poser ChEFF. Did he see me? Ah Fuck, he did! Just smile and laugh and try not to punch him in his phony ass face.
An alternative to the word "post", as in when you would "poser" an image or video online.
1: Hey man, I posered that funny video in a popular Youtuber's Discord server.
2: You mean posted?

Someone who acts like someone they're not, but they don't realize that there being fake, basically a loser trying to fit in. They usually buy ‘trendy’, fake- fancy stuff to look better for people and acts like the majority.
Take off that fake Rolex bro, you're such a fucking poser!
