Love

What is love?
Baby don't hurt me.

Don't hurt me no more. Somehow this defines love?

love

A feeling that'll destroy you if you are not ready for it.

Love

Love is a strong attraction between 2 people that cannot be broken no matter how much it is tested.

"Love is patient; love is kind and envies no one. Love is never boastful, nor conceited, nor rude; never selfish, not quick to take offence. Love keeps no score of wrongs; does not gloat over another's sins, but delights in the truth. There is nothing love cannot face; there is not limit to its faith, its hope, and its endurance. In a word, there are three things that last forever: faith, hope, and love; but the greatest of them all is love."

1 Corinthians 13

I Couldnt have put it in better words myself.

love

Contrary to popular belief, love isn't a feeling. Infatuation is a feeling, which is felt (if to a lesser degree) by three-year-olds and their sweethearts, high schoolers, middle-aged people, and senior citizens alike. Love, in my opinion, is a way of living one's life to better another's. If a person is truly in love, he will give freely of himself to make the other person, in whatever way, happier. It's making one's life so that EVERY ASPECT of that life is, in whatever way, working for the good of the other's. Total, total dedication. It's also allowing that person to give back those same actions selflessly. Love, when done correctly, doesn't directly benefit the person doing the loving; it's the reciprocation of love that makes everything worthwhile.

There are no good examples; to get a good idea of love, one must experience it. There is no other way.
