A person who tries to be something they are not, can be in any genre. some one who clings to a trend. A "wannabe", hated by all the people who are actually the genre the poser is trying to be.
Avril Lavigne, any who support her.
1. Dude, look at that skater wearing etnies
2. What a poser!
Someone who thinks of himself/herself as a wolf (or fox) amongst sheeple, though most people that know them think they're a fucking idiot.
The poser talked a lot of shit about sheeple.
Someone who compromises who they are on a daily basis to make money and thinks that if you dont do the same thing, it's coming from your ego.
Compromise is what did that to the poser's head.
Someone who tries to come off as serious and as someone who doesn't take themself too seriously at the same time, without really being either one.
Lindsay, the mollycoddle girl, was the kind of poser who would try to make fun of scientists then become the scientist. The same kind of person who would try to ridicule routine and responsibility, then pose as a serious person when it was convenient.
A white guy that says TIA in Omaha to sound tougher.
Guy that thinks he's Leonardo Di Caprio at the bar- TIA, right my brew.
Bartender- No, not TIA, TIO. This is Omaha, I know because I am one of two black guys here. This is not Africa my man. I will not be a poser with you.
Some females want to look and sound like guys, when the guys are athletes, soldiers, or astronauts, something positive. They don't want to look or sound like guys who are dumbasses, losers, junkies, or goofuses as often, the same ones that wanted to look like astronauts often turn into cowards and let some male look like the loser.
The female poser wanted a male image, trying to say that it was equality, but in reality she didn't want the full range of the experience that went with being male, especially the negative things. She didn't want more of her kind committing suicide because they were losers, the way males have done for a long time. She didn't want more of her kind to look weak to the world, since to her only males could be cowards.
Someone who is not who they say they are.
When the girl wanted to look like an astronaut, a soldier, or an athlete, something that would make her look good, or serious, or positive (or tough), she wanted to look like a dude, but she didn't want to look like a dude for the full range of things a dude is, she didn't want to look like a loser or a junkie, she didn't want any negative image that would go with being a dude. She would let a male wear the shoe no matter who it fit, she would let the male be the coward she was too much of a coward to be openly, because she was a poser.
