teenage youth culture and language

The way in which the youth of today uses language to conenside with their cultures and beliefs.

A teen that listens to punk music may use some of the words and phrases that the artists may. For example: 'I don't care about the world'

CTD: Culturally Transmitted Disease

A culturallly transmitted disease that attacks whole cultures of people. It runs in families and some studies show that it may be caused by a gene unique to humans that can produce good results but also can also cause negative tendencies. The exact chromosome has not yet been found if this is at all the root of the disease.

(Disclaimer: Defined by TheVoiceOfPsyche)

An example of CTD: Culturally Transmitted Disease would be the Long Island Italian strain. A unique disease that causes a majority of Italians to behave in an overtly emotional manner displaying Operatic-like expressivity and using hyperbole. Anxiety is often a sympton of the disease. It originated on Long Island from the descendants of Brooklyn first generation Italians. No one knows the cause, but it is believe to be linked to an ancient Italian gene. Early onset of the disease is also very common among Long Island Italians.

Three Best Cultures

The Scottish, Flemish and the (not uptight part of the) English culture are clearly the Three Best Cultures in Europe, even in the world. Their languages rule, and thheir are multiple langueges within these countries (well, multiple dialects)

English guy: Oi, fuckin' owth John, what di' you say?
Scottish guy: Aye, you should start talkin' sense, boy, you ken?
These are the languages of the Three Best Cultures

post 9/11 culture burnout

A term to describe anyone who grew highly accustomed to the culture of the 1990's, and subsequently feels jaded about growing up in the information age, especially since the saturation of mediocrity that has dominated popular culture in the aftermath of 9/11.

Since 9/11, Western Culture lost its integrity, resulting in the following:
The declining quality of mainstream media, the excess of the youth, the superficiality of modern lifestyles, the rise of underage sexuality, the corruption of authority figures, the unethical practises of corporate institutions, the exposure of adult subjects amongst young people, the breakdown of gender roles, the general distrust of society, etcetera

Welcome to the post 9/11 culture burnout...
