The differences are how they are conveyed in a particular situation, or who it is conveyed to.
Sarcasm : Person 1. "I can deadlift 430lbs" Person 2. "Care"
Irony/Sarcasm : Friend 1. "Guys, i just looked, and im down 75lbs now!" Friend 2. "Care" *all friends laugh*
Irony : Friend 1. "Yeah bro, i dropped 32 kills in warzone yest-" Person 1. "Warzone?! I love that game, i win every single game i play." Friend 2. "Care" *Friends laugh* Person 1. *confused* "Thanks, we should play some time!"
Iam "I saw this TikTok video and the guy made a really good point about how care is used as a form of manipulation... I can't remember the guy's name... It's started with an 'N'... Like Nahtey... He looked Eastern Asian... Medium brown skin, straight medium-length black hair...Possibly Indian. But he said how you would be able to tell the difference between whether or not it was care or control is whether or not the only purpose the care serves is to make you more convenient for the people providing the care. When someone acts like they don't care about anything to the extent where they are just seen as a care human being. Can often be confused with caring, but is actually the opposite.
