v. A journalistic label used particularly in Europe to describe a certain type of music's sound. Meant "hip hop" without the rap. It was a way of flagging off music and calling it shit.

Taken from the SouthPark episode Sexy Action School News, when they go into the pharmacy to buy some cough syrop to 'have some ideas' The pharmacist tells them "if you really want to trip balls" and suggests a certain brand of cough syrop to them. The episode later demonstrates said tripping of balls.

Acid trip hop is a very contrevesial style which contains figmits discribing illusion, revovles heavily on death, murder, cannibalisim, drugs, violence, tripping, paranoia, and depression. Not one of the most populare sub-genres in hip hop culture, but is said to be the future of him hop music.
