AIM singing is when someone IMs lyrics to another person. Since there's no music and the other person's just reading it, it makes no sense.

ScreenName123: They said release 'Remote Control'
But we didn't want it on the label
UserName138: Huh? Who are They? What label?
ScreenName123: They said, "Fly to Amsterdam"
The people laughed but the press went mad
UserName138: Wait, who went to Amsterdam?
ScreenName123: No, it's a Clash song.
UserName138: Whatever, AIM singing is so stupid.
