The idea that humans could have been placed on the earth by aliens to be observed, in the same way that humans create ant farms (in other words, humans are the aliens' "ant farm"). This concept was Terry Corso's inspiration to propose the name "Alien Ant Farm" for his band.
Think about it, man - aliens could be constantly observing us, like we're living in some alien ant farm...

SoCal alternative metal band responsible for the Michael Jackson cover "Smooth Criminal". Members are Dryden Mitchell (Vocals), Terry Corso (Guitar), Tye Zamora (Bass), and Mike Cosgrove (Drums).
If you want a good band, try listening to Alien Ant Farm.

A pretty good band. Vocals are awesome, guitars are nice and loud, bass guitar owns some of the songs. The Michael Jackson cover "Smooth Criminal" is one of their good songs, but is the only one to really be publicized. Their heavier stuff is damn good. They have only two albums out: ANThology and truANT
Good heavy songs: Courage, Wish, S.S. Recognize

A band that used a Michael Jackson song to get popular. But honestly, the songs they write THEMSELVES sound so much better.
Good songs: Glow, These Days

Alien Ant Farm is a wonderful band that has had very little recognition; a lot less than it deserves, other than the infamous cover of Michael Jackson's 'Smooth Criminal' in 2001. Dryden Mitchell provides unique, addictive vocals and the music is unique and quirky. Their lack of popularity is astonishing; especially with 'artists' like Avril Lavigne and Good Charlotte taking over radio stations all over the country.
Alien Ant Farm's best songs, in my opinion, are: Wish, Calico, Courage, Whisper, Attitude, Movies, Glow, and These Days.

A band that, unfortunately, is only best known for their Michael Jackson cover of "Smooth Criminal". It sucks because outside of this song, they're actually a really good band.
Teeny bopper: "OMG!!! Alien Ant Farm is awesome! 'Smooth Criminal', like, rocks!!!!"
Alien Ant Farm fan: "Aw, shut up. Go listen to their whole albums instead of the same video MTV plays."
