Amogus Effect is when you see something online you hate, like Amogus memes, and they start spreading everywhere, and people won't stop saying it, and it keeps spreading and you start going insane, at one point yelling "MAKE IT STOP MAKE IT STOP", but then you lose all your sanity, and you laugh uncontrollably when you see those memes you hate. You embrace the meme, the meme controls you now.

Originating from the amogus meme that started in early 2021 and wouldn’t fall off popularity until mid 2022. A meme which doesn’t fall of popularity due to constant iterations of it which keeps the meme alive for much a much longer period of time.
