Apollo's Dodgeball

An internet phenomenon most commonly observed on tumblr in which a random internet user will make a post in jest, only for that post to come true. The name arose from a common joke around these iccurences, in which Apollo, the greek god of prophecy, gifts the aforememtioned jesters with clairvoiance in the form of a dodgeball to the face.

"Man, wouldnt it be crazy if Tumblr let its users create their own ads?"
*1 month later, a tumblr feature comes out allowing tumblr users to create their own ads*
"Wow, op really got hit be Apollo's Dodgeball."

Oft used upon the Social media platform Tbumblr. References the fact that occasionally someone will make a post detailing some event in jest, only for it to later cum true.

Person 1: Hey, wouldn't it be funny for someone to make a rocket composed of cheese?
Someone makes a rocket composed of cheese
Person 2: Wow, Person 1 really got hit by Apollo's Dodgeball.
