Some one that gets carried to a win, this person usually doesn't contribute anything positive to the team.
Thank god we won that game! I did well, but Bill was the backpack boy.
Backpack boys are a group of pubescent wannabe hype beasts. They wear large backpacks that are much too large for their teenage bodies. They travel in packs, and all mysteriously look alike, but they are NOT related. They never seem to talk, just walk around with their big backpacks. The term “backpack boys” was coined by Daisy Baierl in 2019.
nobody: “I’m going to go sit with the back boys”
Nobody: “The backpack boys are hot”

A Backpack Boy is someone who fails to deliver to a group project. The group relies on Backpack Boy, and trusts him to do his part. Sometimes he’ll even apologize, and say he’ll start to help. But in the end, the group carries this boy like a backpack, which is what gives him his ridiculous name.
Wow this backpack is really heavy, I wish I could lighten the load! Maybe Backpack Boy could give me a hand?
Dang, I wish I could go to the movies like Backpack Boy... maybe after I’m done finishing our project.
