Bare it up

To approach an activity in it's purest and primal form. An alternative phrase to "rough it up." Often used by lumberjacks.

I don't need to heat this hot dog up with my microwave. I'll just bare it up over the fire.

bare up

from London derived from the word bare. Means lots of especially when bare needs to be emphasised. mostly however used as an adjective to describe someones state.

"he got bare up drunk"
