bloody Nora

The greatest minced oath of all time. Can be used as an interjection (in place of bloody hell etc) but also put in a sentence as an intensifier.

Bloody Nora, I've lost my pen!
What the bloody Nora was that?!
Where's the bloody-Nora-ing clicker?

bloody Nora

also used as "flamin nora". used to expresses surprise, outrage etc. It probably comes from "flaming horror". In the Cockney accent final G and initial H are omitted, therefore possibly over time it becomes "flamin nora".

Bloody Nora what have you done!
