a folk/psychedelic rock band from the '60s who had a lot of a talent; shame that drugs and legal problems drove 'me apart. their song "for what it's worth" summarized America's state during the hippie years
"Dude I heard that song "for what it's worth", it rules!"
"Yeah man that's by buffalo springfield, they were a hippie group in the '60s"
A short-lived one-hit-wonder band where Stephen Stills began his music career. The group disbanded after less than two years together because of several legal troubles involving some of the band members. An attempted reunion in 2010 also went over like a lead balloon. Stephen Stills would later find success in a solo career, as well as one of the eponymous members of the supergroup "Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young."
Buffalo Springfield is perhaps best remembered for the song "For What It's Worth," which has unfortunately aged extremely well.
"Paranoia strikes deep" indeed.
