Bush Pepper

An Australian slang for when a food item is dropped on the ground (or any other unsanitary surface) but still looks "visually" good to eat. While there is still the potential that the item has picked up some small traces of contamination, the eater brushes off the risk with the phrase.

The term "Pepper" here refers to spice and the fact that when something is dropped on the ground, the little flecks of dirt resemble the same look as "cracked" Black Pepper. The term "Bush" refers here to that the spice has been collected from the ground, as if it was some type of "Natural spice".

Person A: <Drops chicken nugget on floor>
Person B: You have to throw that away now
Person A: <Inspects Nugget> Not a chance mate, it's just a bit of Bush Pepper <Proceeds to eat Nugget>
