When the human body considers an item within it as foreign, it either rejects it, absorbs it, or calcificates it.

Things in life were hard and what she’d learned as a child was to cocoon, calcificate jagged, polluting experiences. Compartmentalizing them in a box, in a bag, in a box, in a bag, in another box, like her mother stored holiday decorations.
