To make a huge change or alteration and not address it in any way. Inspired by the 60's TV show "Bewitched", where the actor playing Darren was suddenly replaced without any explanation, Dick Sargent for Dick York.

"Dude, you showed up with that new girl after being married for 15 years; I had to keep a straight face despite the fact that you totally Changed Darrens!"
