Chat-bawt Caro-sell (verb)
When communicating through a chat app platform to speak with customer service, chatbot carrousel is what happens when you have a circular conversation with a chatbot.
There is no real person on the other end, the conversation is a series of auto-responses that never effectively address your issue, but you keep trying—hopping to have a different outcome. The conversation goes around and around until you are using all caps and swearing off digital for an analog life for the rest of your years.
Chatbot carrousel is a zero sum game, where their is no winning on the part of the living person. It’s a direct vortex into a digital hellscape.
Uber delivered the wrong order to me and when I tried to reach customer service I ended up in and endless game of chatbot carrousel.
I tried to cancel my phone plan but this company only has automated service chat. Before I knew it I was hooked into chatbot carrousel. I guess I’ll know by my next billing date if they actually cancelled my plan.
