Known as Chronically Online Female Hysteria, this condition refers to women espousing online rhetoric and or unsubstantiated misinformation, typically pertaining to the opposite sex, that seeks to demonize, generalize, and diminish the targets of said rhetoric.
These messages are then quickly spread by other women in the online space like wildfire, affirming the bias of those already suffering from COFH and causing new women to catch the disease.
W: All men are pigs who would R you without a second thought!
M: Please delete TikTok, you’re suffering from COFH
W: I spent 2000 dollars on all these makeup products! This man better spend 2000 on our date!
M: Get off social media and call your father, you haven’t spoke in a while and it might help your COFH
W: I would gladly choose to run into a bear in the woods than an average man!
M: It’s okay guys, she watched too many true crime docs and caught a bad case of COFH
