Crowley, La.

A small Cajun town founded 1886, parish seat of Acadia Parish in Acadiana, Southwest Louisiana. Population is estimated at 13,265.

Known for the International Rice Festival. At one time it was a major center for rice harvesting and milling.
Crowley still has a number of rice mills and rice is the main crop of many local farmers.

In addition, in recent years, crawfish farming has become increasingly popular.

Also known as "Rice Capital of America" or "Crowley, America".

I was born and raised in Crowley, La.
