Cyaegha

The German legend of the Cyaegha is a monster with many tentacles who lives beneath the German mountain Dunkelhugel. The Cyaegha is the Great Old One.

My grandmother used to tell me the legend of the Cyaegha because it is a story her mother told her when she lived in Germany.
