nw suburb of chicago. pretty much the most boring suburb ever. mostly white and hispanic, with just about every other minority as well. home of the first mcdonald's. city with one of the nation's most delays due to trains.

The 2nd largest ghetto in northern Cook County, after Rolling Meadows. Home to the first (ninth) McDonalds, but it's not like anyone gives a shit.

Des Plaines is a big yet boring West chicago city thats really diverse, Id say 50% is mexican, 30% polish, 10% Black, and the rest of the people are indian and american. This town is only known for having the first Mcdonalds, John Wayne Gacy, and all the buildings being brick yellow. In downtown you will find mexicans, blacks, homeless people that will not leave you alone, prostitutes, and cholos, this is mainly the ghetto. Outside of downtown lies polish and indian people, mainly polish people. Downtown is rundown buildings while the other part is run down yellow brick duplexes. There are no nice places to live in des plaines, all the houses and apartments were built before 1970 and everyone here is an immigrant make a living. There is nothing to do in this town, hence the name “this plain.” Honestly, I am not satisfied with how Des Plaines is doing, they are able to upgrade the city but wont. If you consider moving in Des Plaines, learn spanish and polish, you will need it.
