Disney Syndrome

Disney Syndrome takes its name from, you guessed it, Disney. It covers the range of beliefs children have been taught from Disney movies. These children grow up believing these movies to be right and are often disillusioned in adulthood even when shown evidence that life isn't a Disney cartoon.

For example, the idea that little girls will find the knight in shining armour to sweep them off their feet (ie, that perfection in a partner exists), or the belief that wild animals are all cuddly and nice (ie, that bears won't maul you for petting their cub), or that someone will take care of things for them when they are at their lowest are all symptoms of Disney Syndrome

My little girl is hoping a handsome, intelligent and rich man will marry her and live in their castle... I don't have the heart to tell her she suffers from Disney Syndrome.

Disney Syndrome

Disney Syndrome is the development of a flawed out look on life. Little girls think there's true love and a "happily ever after" for all of them. That and their outlook on love is molded into an idea that love is romance and a hot, strong guy that will sweep them off their feet is what romance is (and thus what love is). While in fact none of these things are true.

Brittanie got hit with Disney Syndrome hard when her boyfriend didn't act like the prince she thought he would be.

Disney Syndrome

When people treat animals like people. They believe in the principle that animals belong caged inside apartments and homes when in fact this is no different than taking animals from their natural habitat and cage them no different than a zoo. This is in fact animal cruelty and the biggest enabler of animal trade. Disney has unintentionally taught this idea by creating movies in which animals speak fluently, plot plans, and heroically save everyone, and everything, including pray they in the real world eat or kill. A good example of this is Beauty and the Beast, in where a princess fucks around with a big hairy, muscular animal (that turns into human later...). Subliminally teaching it's okay to have sex with animals, ideally gorilla-like.

Melissa is so pretty, why is she on dating apps? She has the Disney syndrome, fairy tale priorities over men or starting a real family.

Disney Syndrome

Disney Syndrome is when a person who may act/sing is able to do both, and brags about both. As seen in Hayley Williams and Robert Pattinson interviews.

"Its like, oh I sing to..ehnnngh."

Disney syndrome

When a Disney star (most likely a child star) goes out of their way to prove themselves as an individual apart from Disney.

ex: miley cyrus. Her recent outbreak is quite obviously a shout to the world telling people that she is not an innocent little Disney star. This is a common motive.this is Disney syndrome

Post Disney Syndrome

The 2 months of really really missing Disneyworld after you've returned from Disneyworld. Post dusney syndrome can last from 2 weeks to 2 months. Basically, post disney syndrome is when you have returned from Disneyworld and you start to realy miss the "happiest place on earth". Side effects include wearing a mickey hat during the duration of the syndrome, wearing a pin lanyard aswell, and instead of going out for a fun night with friends, you decide to stay back and watch disney movies by yourself with a bowl of ice cream while being surrounded by the souvenirs the subject picked up. Post disney syndrome is very common and usually happens to adolescents more so than children or grown ups.

Hey, do you think jimmy will come out to Amy's party tonight?

A girl who believes that one day a prince charming will come and sweep her off her feet, at the cost of all attempts of other relationships. Also belives that when this happens she will be swept off her feet and will live "happily ever after". This person is also naive in the bedroom and usually uncomfortable with many forms of itimate relationship interactions.
