Doordashing Hooters

Used to describe any situation where being straightforward and efficient with a task/activity is to miss the point of the task/activity. Can also be used to describe the behavior of someone who is trying to be straightforward and efficient with a task/activity and is thus missing the point of that task/activity. Coined by Paul Conway (@iampaulconway) in a 2024 viral short.

Kurt Vonnegut: Well, I’m going to buy an envelope.
Kurt Vonnegut‘s Wife: You’re not a poor man. Why don’t you buy a thousand envelopes? They’ll deliver them, and you can put them in the closet.
Kurt Vonnegut: Hush, I’m not Doordashing Hooters here, dear.
