Duke nukem forever

The long delayed sequel to Duke nukem 3D. It was lost in development for over 12 years but when it finally came out it essentially killed the Duke Nukem franchise.

It seems very unlikely that anyone other then hardcore Duke Nukem fans will take much pleasure in this mess of a game and even then only for the nostalgia value of it.

It almost feels like Gearbox, the game company that obtained the rights and "finished" the game, went back threw out all 12 years of previous work and slapped together a 2-bit halo knockoff to rip off the old fanbase and ruin Duke for the new fanbase.

Featuring filler content, platforming puzzles, and crappy game mechanics this is truly a complete mess. It also crossed the very big line between dirty humor and stupid humor more times then I can count. Between the rape jokes and the shit throw (i kid you not it's really in there) it's just not worth the time to play, not to mention the load times are awful even on a high end gaming PC.

They somehow managed to make it to sexist even for Duke, even for DUKE. I didn't even know that was possible.

Another Duke Nukem game has been announced by gearbox, hopefully it will be a masterpiece that saves the franchise but after this god awful performance it's doubtful

Duke and gamer on Duke nukem forever

Duke: Well after 12 fuckin years it better be good.

Gamer: It sucked

Duke: What the fuck did they do wrong?

Gamer: lean over here
*whispers*

Duke: ... fuck the aliens Gearbox unless you do it right this time I'm comin' for you

Duke Nukem Forever

A notoriously delayed shooter. Starring everyone's favorite Crazy Awesome Badass Motherfucker: Duke Nukem, it has been delayed for twelve years.

Then 3drealms shut down. It looked like all hope was lost...

UNTIL GEARBOX CAME IN AND SAVED THE DAY! No, seriously, for the first time in 12 years, at PAX, it was finally confirmed that the game was going to be released, and playable, in 2011. To further drive the point home, it was actually playable at PAX. After a four-hour line, of course.

I'm here to kick ass and release Duke Nukem Forever, and I'm all out of ass.

ALWAYS BET ON DUKE.

duke nukem forever

The video game that is the sequel to Duke Nukem 3D. The game has been delayed multiple times and many lost hope of it's completion. As a sort of accidental foreshadowing, the acronym for Duke Nukem Forever is D.N.F (Did Not Finish). Luckily Gear Box has stated that the game is due to arrive sometime in 2011 and anyone who bought the "game of the year" edition of Borderlands will be able to play the demo before anyone else.

duke nukem forever

Sequel to the popular shooter Duke Nukem 3D. Will never be released, and even if it is, nobody will care anymore.

Now you know why it's called Duke Nukem *Forever*...

Duke Nukem Forever

Never. Did not originate as Cockney rhyming slang as is popularly supposed, instead St. John's Book of Revelations, Nostradamus' Centuries and Somethingawful.com mention the release date in reference to the End of Days.

Duke Nukem Forever

Monstrously-delayed sequel to the popular FPS Duke Nukem 3D. There have been many other Duke adventures in between, developed by third-parties under license, including:

Duke Nukem: Time To Kill
Duke Nukem: Land of the Babes
Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project
Duke Nukem: Zero Hour

Some good, some bad. However many gamers want the official merchandise from 3D Realms themselves, and 3DR are simply not delivering. They haven't even released a single screenshot or anything about the game since they started over on the project several years ago. One wonders what on Earth is going on at 3DR at the moment.

Duke Nukem Forever

Will be defined "When it's done".

Search Google for the "missed release dates" + "Duke Nukem Forever", and you'll get a rather funny list of serious statements from the developers. Now they just say, "There is no (release) date."
