A phrase that is another way of saying “we take care of everyone.” It’s a shorter version of “no one goes home hungry,” and it has expanded to a definition that’s broader than food.
Johnny: “Did you get a raise?”
Pete: “I did, but I advocated for a raise for our support staff too. Everybody eats.”
Everybody eats: (verb) slang term used to describe the collective production of a group pertaining to actual food, athletic gains, or attracting females.
