Elephant buddy

a form of guy love between two heterosexual males in which one participant does not realize that he is involved;  i.e., an unreciprocated one-sided bromance 

Todd thought that there was a real bromance brewing between Ken & himself, but was really upset when he figured out he was just an elephant buddy.
