Elephant racing

The act of big rig semi-trucks slowly passing each other on the freeway, obstructing private motorists and substantially slowing the overall speed of traffic.

My commute took forty minutes longer than expected because all of the damn elephant racing.

When one truck attempts to pass another on the highway, but lacks the power to pass. Ultimately the two trucks remain side by side holding up everyone behind them for miles because nether one of them wants to lose the race.

"Oh great!! now we're stuck behind an elephant race"

When two semi trucks are side-by-side on a two lane road and neither is going faster than the other.

I would have been here sooner but I was caught in traffic behind an elephant race.
