A friendly greeting, often used in Nottinghamshire, which can leave people not from the Midlands a bit puzzled the first time they hear it.

โ€œEy up me duck, yโ€™alreet?โ€ (Hello, are you well?)
โ€œAye, grand. Yโ€™rselโ€™?โ€ (Yes, Iโ€™m fine. How are you?)
